Just like humans show specific signs when experiencing allergies, the same holds true for pets. From coughing and sneezing to excessive scratching, each is an alert that your pet's system is out of sync. When any of the following symptoms are exhibited, it is time for your pet to be examined by a veterinarian.

  • Sneezing is one of the most common signs your pet will display especially during allergy season when the atmosphere is full of allergens
  • Inflamed sinuses can result in frequent single sneezes or multiple sneezes one after the other
  • Excessive itching and scratching are telltale symptoms that your pet is feeling discomfort.
  • Continual licking and/or chewing of their paws or other areas
  • Irritated skin, hot spots, hives, hair loss, and skin rashes
  • Red, watery, and irritated eyes
  • Runny nose
  • Itchy and infected ears
  • Head shaking
  • Vomiting and/or diarrhea
